WHAT IS YOGHURLAC?

YoghurLac is a concentrated and energy-rich acidified yoghurt product, in powder form, used for piglets during the suckling period and in the time around weaning to prevent diarrhoea and intestinal disturbances and to provide the small piglets a concentrated supplement of energy and nutrients.

YoghurLac contains:

  • milk powder
  • lactic acid bacteria
  • lactic acid
  • electrolytes
  • lactose

MODE OF ACTION

YoghurLac has equal acidity and consistency to yoghurt products and has thus a pleasant fresh but at the same time sweet taste, due to the high contents of lactose.

YoghurLac provides the piglets with active
lactic acid bacteria in an acidified milk feeding and is thus providing nutrients in addition to the sow's milk. At the same time it prevents diarrhoea and maintains the weight gain.

DOSAGE

Mix 125 grams of YoghurLac into 1 litre of lukewarm water, stirring continously.

1 litre of powder weighs 500 grams
1 scoop (included)= 100 grams

YoghurLac is given in a trough or bowl.

YoghurLac is used:

  • during the sucking period
  • in large litters
  • when the sow does not produce sufficient amounts of milk (MMA)
  • for piglets with intestinal disturbances
  • for weak piglets
